How long does the process of heart opening massage take?
The heart opening massage technique is a way for us to interact and connect to our SOUL. This is a process that can't be sped up to accommodate the pupil's needs and time schedule. When working with the Soul, it should be done slowly. It is better not to rush. The heart opening massage is a very intensive work that brings up lots of things from the pupil's point of view. Some pupils achieve the third and last stage of the heart opening in 25 meetings, some achieve it in more.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments varies with each person and their individual health goals. Many clients sense progress within 1-3 treatments. Visits become less frequent as your body becomes more balanced. In chronic cases, complete healing can take months or even years.

Is Zen Shiatsu the same as Swedish massage?
Though Shiatsu is referred to as massage in some places it should not be confused with Swedish or Western massage. Zen Shiatsu and Swedish massage are very different. Swedish massage uses oils on the body in combination with rubbing, kneading, or stroking areas of the body to manipulate the soft tissues. Zen Shiatsu is done fully clothed and combines stretches, joint rotations and firm pressure to stimulate the circulatory, lymphatic, hormonal, neuromuscular, musculo-skeletal, respiratory, digestive, and autonomic nervous systems.
